微型计算机与单片机有什么不同

　　一般来说，微型计算机包括中央处理单元（CPU）、存储器（Memory）及输入/输出单元（I/O）三大部分如图1-1所示。CPU 就像是人的大脑一样，主宰整个系统的运行；Memory则是存放系统运行所需的程序及数据，包括只读存储器（Read Only Memory，ROM）及随机存取存储器（Randon Access Memory，RAM），通常ROM用来存储程序或永久性的数据，称为程序存储器，RAM则是用来存储程序执行时的临时数据，称为数据存储器；I/O是微型计算机与外部沟通的通道，其中包括输出口与输入口。这3个部分分别由不同的芯片（IC）组成，把它们组装在电路板上即可构成一个微型计算机。


单片机就是把中央处理单元、存储器、输入/输出端口等全部集成在一块芯片里（如图1-2所示），只要再配置几个小元件，如 电阻、电容、石英晶体、连接器等，即可构成一个完整的微型计算机。因此单片机整个系统具有体积小、成本低、可靠性高的 优点，成为目前微型计算机控制系统的主流。
